A Gathering Grove is a bookstore and coffee house with a focus on
spiritual books of all religions. Our vision is to bring people of
various backgrounds and spiritual journeys together in a space of
mutual respect and joyous learning.

Who We Are
A Gathering Grove is owned and managed by Steve Kropf and his wife Shannon Bath.
A bit about Steve...
Steve grew up in Helena Montana but has lived in the Puget Sound area for over 20 years. He has
spent most of his career working in the coffee biz and managing several cafes around Seattle. Now
it's his turn to show the world what a great cafe can be! In his spare time he enjoys photography,
music, reading, hockey, and spending time with the family. He's also a great pool player!
A bit about Shannon...
Shannon was raised in Everett and graduated from EHS in 1990. It has always been her dream to
own a place like A Gathering Grove and now she and Steve are making it a reality. She continues to
work as an accountant for a local bank in Seattle but hopes to work at the Grove full time some day.
In her spare time she enjoys knitting and crochet work, reading, communing with nature, music, and
spending time with family and friends. She's not too shabby a pool player either!
